Atasas
Lived in UK for 14 years and beginning to get totally disappointed with justices/Police actions...Remembering few latest high profile failings :so called terrorists arrested and held with no reason for a long while, released with no appologies; DeMeneses case- Shot dead in total blunder; G20 protest handling/kiling of non protester; Countryside allience protest handling...I know there is no pride in "the job" and so there is no respect to then in general public , I wander how does it look/appear from other parts of the world? vin3e
I've lived in the UK all my life and have never seen the MET bend over backwards for ethnics than in previous years. I mean, in order to pursue this "Racial equality" ideal, they have lost all powers to deter any criminal activity. Why? Because if they search a black person, its because they're racists. If a black person is murdered by 5 white men, it generates so much media is unbelievable. However, in similiar situations when caucasians are the victims, its passes freely.Yeah the DeMenese killing was an outrage, but mistakes happen.. Its the public who feel they have a say in these matters that caused a national outcry by increasingly over reacting. but in this modern time, the blame is always on the superior and its always this person stepping down, or that person stepping down.I dont believe in multi cultural societies. Thats where racism is bred and brewed, this is why PC is at an all time high.
shought
Believe me, it's better to have an over active police force(up till a certain level) than a police force that isn't allowed to do anything. Here in the Netherlands policemen are NOT allowed to shoot before they are shot at, so when they're outnumbered by 20, but none of those 20 has a gun or points it at them, they are not allowed to shoot! You have to find the right balance... But as always, this is hard to find.
Atasas
somehow I do not disagree with media pleasing police tactics nonsense, but still, whenever I went to ie France- every policemen there seemed to be proud of they job/status and had whole load more of respect from general public...The point I would make is that all of the bobbies are totally lazy/ignorant/unfit/ excuse full... anything, but the attitude for the job...? am I seeing the only rare ones?
