VLC Player for Windows Phone 8 Screenshot

The official VLC Player for Windows 8 has made it to Windows Store only recently, after about one year of continuous work. The application has already received a few updates that fix some of the issues from the initial build that’s been released for the general public.

However, the folks at VideoLAN still have a lot of work to do in order to bring the application on the Windows RT and Windows Phone 8 platforms.

Although there is no ETA for the release of these versions, it’s almost certain that they won’t go official until after Windows Phone 8.1’s official unveil.

VLC Player is likely to land on Windows RT first, while the Windows Phone 8 version is likely to arrive soon afterwards. Stay tuned for more info on the Windows Phone version of VLC Player.
