Help with Shareaza

I just downloaded Shareaza and I was wondering how ( if I can ) optimize it to download faster, even if that means changing my "half-open connection limit". (SP 2)

and when I play a song I downloaded in the built in player, the program freezes, but if I import a file to play it works perfectly
