sujith
In a surprising move, Samsung has announced its own music streaming service that will be available completely free to Galaxy smartphone users, which goes by the name of Milk Music. The fact that it comes free of charge should tempt Galaxy smartphone users into trying it at least, but if that’s not enough for you, then know that Samsung has confirmed that Milk Music service is also completely ad-free.Basically, Milk Music users won’t be charged a dime for using the service and will not be forced to watch/listen any ads. This is the good news, but let’s see what its downsides are as well.Well, according to Samsung, the Milk Music service is only available in the United States and there is no info regarding its expansion in other countries. The limited availability of the music service may be related to music rights, but that has yet to be confirmed by Samsung. Now let’s see what Samsung’s Milk Music free service has to offer. First of all, there are more than 200 radio stations that users can listen to while on the move. Aside from the 200 radio stations, Samsung has also stated that its Milk Music service provides users access to more than 13 million songs.Milk Music comes with two important features called “Spotlight” and “My Stations.” The former offers curated selections of songs and albums chosen by music influencers, while the latter allows users to create their own personal stations based on their favorite songs and albums. Samsung has also confirmed that the service is fully customizable and that it’s “designed with an elegant, easy-to-use interface.” Another strong point of the Milk Music is the fact that it’s powered by Slacker’s technology, which has lots of years of experience in the music streaming services field.Another important aspect related to Samsung’s new music service is the list of approved devices that are eligible for Milk Music. According to Samsung, the following smartphones are now compatible with Milk Music service: Galaxy S4, Galaxy S III, Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy Note II, Galaxy Mega and Galaxy S 4 mini. Beginning in April, Samsung Galaxy S5 will also be added to the list of compatible devices. It is also worth mentioning that the music service will be available across all carrier and retail channels in the United States. Milk Music can now be downloaded via Google Play Store for free. Last but not least, Samsung has promised that it will offer “unique music programming” from top artists available exclusively through its Milk Music service.Source-http://news.softpedia.com/news/Samsung-Launches-Free-Milk-Music-Streaming-Service-for-Galaxy-Smartphones-431349.shtml
