AnyDVD 7.4.4.0

I used the current [bRD] patch on this version [v7.4.4.3 ]. I was going to test with CloneDVD2 [Elaborate Bytes, but really Slysoft] as I always do. But, CloneDVD2 immediately crashes now before even getting to the GUI.

Could this be related to the BRD patch? This has not happened before. I will have to uninstall both CloneDVD2 and AnyDVD and reinstall in order to test this further...

Yes the BRD patch does kill CloneDVD. Problem is with ElbyCDIO.dll

You need to make a copy of this file prior to patching from Windows/System32 and then put it in your CloneDVD installation folder. You'll need to uninstall AnyDVD and CloneDVD and reinstall both. Then make sure you've made a copy of the dll before you use the BRD patch. Of course you'll need a keygen for CloneDVD.

So, U essentially copy the DLL from "Windows/System32" and then copy into the CloneDVD installation folder? And, now CloneDVD will use this copy?

That's exactly how for Win 7 x86. As the patch alters this dll you must make the copy before patching. For Win 7 x64 the location of the dll is in Windows/SysWow64

And, WRonce claims that the current BRD patch does not work for this latest version [beta]?

Patch works for this version but kills all other Slysoft and Elaborate Bytes software that uses that dll, such as CloneCD and Virtual CloneDrive. Placing a copy of the unadulterated dll in their installation folders fixes the problem.

Hmm, I am glad I asked the question... I do have both CloneDVD and CloneCD installed! It looks like I have a lot of uninstalling and reinstalling in my future. :)

Not tried this, but once you have a clean copy of the unpatched dll, you might get away with pasting into the install folders without having to uninstall and reinstall every product.

Hmm, I just tried to install CloneCD over my current installation [w/o having uninstalled anything first]. It detects the current "ElbyCDIO.dll" and does not replace it. I could try removing "ElbyCDIO.dll" first?

hm, I will try to explain it :)

BD,and NEW JAVA protection will not RUN - DVD (old) yes-no it depence on type of protection.

To decode and analyse protection AnyDVD first search in database (build in prg) then contact to server, online - Slysoft server. Download the right "codex" and start to "copy"

The BRD patch is broken, injection was closed couple month ago, AnyDVD can not proper download the essential codec for decrypting.

You need a propper valid license code.

We discus it earlier, we NEED Slysoft, so to provide a "med" is not good idea. The development you can see what is going on with DVDFab ;) not funny at all.

The people who REALY use it, we know the effort, what they do, especially service and updates, so all of us have a proper license.

I've used this software since before it even had an online database, and as far as I'm aware there has never been a cracked version that allows you to use this feature. You are supposed to uncheck this option. If you want this option then pay for it. Only required for the most recent discs.

yes, so many users fail to notice and/or untick this option and if no FW then trouble happens.

I remember the good old days when this was cracked by MaRKuS th-djm from snd (long retired) probably 10 years or more ago. No online database back then. This feature is relatively new and I've had just about every crack going and have never found one that allows you to use this feature. Can't even use it with a borrowed key as it gets blacklisted the first time you allow the software to phone home. That's why you're supposed to block AnyDVDtray.exe with your firewall. Never ever let it phone home.

off topic

good old days :) ... Markus is still around ;)

The point is, that all NEW protection are secured, you need a server connection. No connection no BD, very easy. And YES, you can deactivate online "check" but AnyDVD will not work proper. The reason, why the AnyDVD.exe is "just" 15 MB and not 400 is the detection and download of secure code. It is a compromise about size and actual protection. Online check is not just a "database" many other parameters you need to decrypt.

One Day we will pay for "not" protected software :( ... Cinavia protection and so on... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cinavia

how many players we have? The whole development is going crazy :(

In that case I must be the luckiest man alive. Been using AnyDVD for decryption for blu-rays without connection to online database and Aiseesoft blu-ray copy, Blu-Cloner, DVDFab and others for re-encoding to 25gb. Never once failed to copy anything and I mean anything. Never once had a problem.

Same here. Altho I do not use the other softs you speak of, I have no connection to online database for AnyDVD and it works perfectly for me. Maybe we are just both lucky? lol

I always follow the Slysoft Forum so I know which new discs are causing a problem. Once James has a valid log file to look at his fixes come very quickly. At first the fix is available using the online database, but within a day there is a new final or beta released that contains the new fix. They always tell you which fixes have been added so you know in advance if the version you're using will work with a particular problem disc. I never try to copy anything on the day of release anyway, I wait and see if others have a problem and if they do I wait until it's been fixed. Everything comes to he who waits. Glad everything works for you too LocoJoe.

The patch was never supposed to work with server interaction, and this was stated long time ago:

Decryption and/or workarounds for specific DVDs/BDs discs, which aren't already covered by program's offline databases and require from server side interaction, will not work; as well as for any of the HD-DVDs discs, since they have an exclusive online-based working scheme. Those features are just available to legitimate customers and they are not crackable.

So, if someone is in the unlikely case of having one DVD/BD media that isn't currently covered by the latest stable/beta program's version, they will inevitably need to use a legitimately licensed program if the are that hurried; otherwise, by just waiting a few days for Slysoft devs. to include the newest changes into the program's DB should be enough.

[sorry, to revisit this. I tried a few a things that did not work...]

Next, I uninstalled CloneDVD, CloneCD and AnyDVD. I then reinstalled CloneDVD and CloneCD. I copied and pasted the "ElbyCDIO.dll" from "Windows/System32" into their respective installation directories. Has anyone tried this successfully, and then reinstalled AnyDVD and applied the BRD patch, and had all three software work?

EDIT: This did work. However, you need to copy/save the "ElbyCDIO.dll" from the CloneCD installation directory to another folder. The AnyDVD installation "clobbered" this. After the latter, copy "ElbyCDIO.dll" from your "save" folder to the installation directory. The "ElbyCDIO.dll" in the CloneDVD installation was "untouched" by the AnyDVD installation.

BRD patch still works on latest beta 7.4.4.5 but breaks CloneDVD. OK if you've already applied the fix as it doesn't affect the dll in the CloneDVD install folder.

See my previous post. Basically, U need to preserve the "ElbyCDIO.dll" and after AnyDVD installation copy into the CloneDVD and CloneCD folder.

Sounds good mate. I was lucky, as I don't use CloneCD I just installed AnyDVD and patched it. No messing with CloneDVD as I'd already copied the unpatched dll into the install folder. After uninstalling the older version of AnyDVD there was still a copy of ElbyCDIO.dll in Windows/System32 and as I assumed it must be an already patched version I deleted it before installing the new version then rebooting then patching.
