I do not know how you have with this thing, but for me these last two versions are very stable, even can say absolutely stable - not able to open almost anything and also isn't able to shut down without the aid of TaskManager.
Completely stable version.

Does this the version that has the bookmarks bar that can be turned on? If so, I can switch from the dev version. XD

A lot of people are really unhappy with what Opera have done, but this browser is rock solid and extremely fast. Plus, Opera have probably savsed themselves a ton of headaches and security risks by doing everything in house and going with a 'arguably' stable and secure engine with lots of money and exposure behind it and focusing on speed and user experience.

The bookmarks fiasco was unimaginable though..

Yes, bookmarks bar is available, but nothing more. But like I said, the two last versions don't work anyway. So, I can't recommend to change still.

I would recommend to wait for the next version, maybe then they will improve these problems.

The reality is so, that in the beginning it will work, but if you add some extensions, then freezes at all.

Finally, the Auto-update Issue in the Portable Version is Fixed :) :) :) ... The previous versions had a bug and Always Showed Error when you Clicked on the Auto Update Feature ... Kudos for Heads up ... Cheers..

Welcome to the world of extension problems in opera.

Bookmark bar aka QAB was there since 17 version.(you had to enable in flags). This version has included it as disabled in settings as they are pushing for speed dial.

Thanks for all the info guys n' gals. I've been using the dev version for a long while now. As a secondary browser, not primary. The award goes to Cyberfox for that. XD
