In Putin's Russia, bitcoin exchanges you

Russian coppers have warned that Bitcoin could be the next thing they are going for, having sorted out the terrible menace of homosexuality.

The Russians have appeared to have worked out that the virtual currency could be used for money laundering or financing terrorism, or buying rent boys and that treating it as a parallel currency is illegal. The Russian Prosecutor General's Office said that systems for anonymous payments and cyber currencies that have gained considerable circulation - including Bitcoin - are money substitutes and cannot be used by individuals or legal entities.

Russian law stipulates that the rouble is the sole official currency and that introducing any other monetary units or substitutes was illegal. Russia's central bank also said on January 27 that Bitcoin trade was highly speculative and that the unit carried a big risk of losing value.

"Citizens and legal entities risk being drawn - even unintentionally - into illegal activity, including laundering of money obtained through crime, as well as financing terrorism," it warned.

The Prosecutor's General Office said it was working with the central bank and other law enforcement agencies to tighten regulations and prevent legal offences committed with the use of pseudo-currencies.

Well, I like Russia, they have common sense. They do not go with the flow like americans or other countries do. homosexuality is unnatural, those people need counseling to be aware of their problems. Most of the people that became homosexuals, had trouble in the childhood, they were traumatized and so on.

In the case of bitcoins, well, it should be considered illegal, since you do not pay taxes, you can't declare your bitcoins, so it can be used as they said for money laundering.

And still you have more freedom in Russia than in US, where they legalized almost everything.

the only thing regulated with stocked market is that they close it they feel they are going to loose way too much money. oh yeah they also regulate to value of some items (like gold actually) so that it doesn't get traded at it real price. (USA is in need of gold since they don't have anymore other countrys gold they were supposed to keep in fort knox)

you must declare your revenues, but if you want to hide something, you just don't declare them. Money laundering has existed since taxes exist. what are fiscal paradises made for??

bitcoins is just a hole in their system of power, thats why they hate it so much.

also having its dick sucked is unnatural, is it also banned in russia????

If you do not declare your revenues the taxation authorities will knock at your door, you don't need to declare your revenues if it is lower than x(x depends from country to country). The discussion has turned into a childish vexation, so there's no point to continue.

that's how it works in theory but reality is quite different. just look at the list of people that had a bank account in switzerland (known thanks to some leak) that never declared that money and have done it for years without being worried.....

no childist vexation ,you're the one that need to get fixed his homophobia instead of using stupid reason to force it upon people life.

if it has to banned because it is unnatunal, fine but then let's ban all our other unnatural habits. quite simple
