According to New Relic’s data, which analyzed more than 16.8 million page loads from early October through early November last year, BlackBerry 10 devices loaded web pages in 1.55 seconds on average. The second-fastest web browser, Opera Mini 4.2, wasn’t even close, with page load times that averaged 4.78 seconds.

In other words, the BlackBerry 10 browser is more than three times faster than its next-closest competitor.

Apple’s Safari browser on the iPad came in at No. 3 with an average page load time of 4.91 seconds, and no other native web browser was even included in New Relic’s top-9 rankings.

An infographic showcasing the company’s test results follows below.

Firefox will soon loose the market..sad but truth..if they wont change their brower.. in speed & eating resource wise... Still FF struggles/crashes with Flash, whers other browser wont.

Even its start-up speed is not so good when compareing it to chrome or IE.. actually IE is too fast...Even that opera next is fast then FF

imo this is example how people share bs info over net and don't knowing anything about browsers or know a little, don't how they work, how utilize processes, memory, db, and don't know how manipulate with that, they just know use default settings, they even not know there is settings for that like via command line arguments and never made some compare test themselves. they don't know what is layout engine or js engine and which one is used in which browser and which version, and so on

in most cases in that category is younger users which have always one pet browser which is "THE BEST" one, and they never can be objective toward other browsers

personaly i don't remember when i have crash of firefox, chrome or opera (new/old), maybe users need to learn how to use browsers wisely

if not look on miliseconds, starting latest naked browser (chrome, firefox, opera, ie) speed is approximately the same

I do not use O15+ as default browser but use sometimes just to check and it has crashed many times(multiprocess shit does nothing to prevent browser crash).Even after selecting not to send crash reports, it tries to send info to opera(but my firewall blocks it). Have been using FF as main browser for almost 8 months and never seen it crash.Don't know about chrome as it not installed.

Agreed. And starting time does not matter too much unless it takes too long . FF without addons starts faster as well as opens pages almost at the same speed when compared to opera or ie.

Chrome Leads in All ways... Don't you get it, If you've been blogging, then you would understand why chrome is the preferred choice for all bloggers than any other choice. There are soo many advantages Chrome has over all the browsers. for instant is pasting plain text, i have tried several times, it just doesnt work on Firefox, chrome does that with a single click, with no harm.... or hustle... Chrome leads... and its gonna dominate forever. :P

There have been various privacy-related issues associated with Chrome extensions.

Moreover, in various forums, Chrome Still does Not depict webpage content properly (e.g. emoticons, banners etc.)

The same problems that existed with Chrome v6 and v8 are still present in the v30 versions...

Not to mention that Chrome extentions, like ABP, are not as effective as the ABP add-on of Firefox.

Not to mention that Firefox add-ons, like flagfox, do not exist

or even if they exist

are of poor/limited functionality when it comes to Chrome Extensions.

I've tried Chrome many times, but I've always returned to Firefox.
