FukenGruven
As you can see.. Chinese Characters show up as blocks..makes it nearly impossible to work with..It has to be said.. i never had this issue under Windows 7..Figured out how to enable support:Navigate to: Control Panel > Clock, Language, and Region > RegionClick "Administrative" tabclick "Change System Locale"select "Chinese, Simplified"RestartDoes not affect your native language..Only adds support for Asian Unicode Characters.ie. Japanese, Korean, SimpChinese, TradChinese, etc..(i was afraid it would change my System Locale to Chinese) Edited February 2, 2014 by FukenGruven

front360
Roger D, I also had to remove a similar service with a Chinese font. I first searched for the Service on the internet to make sure there wasn't an uninstaller already on Windows, that would remove the program and the service. I first copied the Service Name(Chinese font) in Properties to the clipboard. I then opened CMD prompt as admin and typed the following and pasted the Service Name(Chinese font) without quotes and hit enter button, to remove the Service:sc delete "Service Name"I checked the registry and the Service(Chinese font) was confirmed deleted for me. FukenGruven
front360 is correct..first google to make sure it's not a service you actually installed & need..then after verifying it's not needed..Copy the service name onto the clipboard.Start CMD Prompt w/Administrative Privileges..type:sc stop "copied name"sc delete "copied name"if it does not work..try in safe mode. front360
Gruven, I think it's single language En-US, but how can I check?
FukenGruven
Gruven, I think it's single language En-US, but how can I check?that's a good question..i just checked almost every area that i know of and none says anything about SingleLanguage, etc..I believe.. the only way to know for sure is by the ISO you used for installation..ie. the Enterprise on my Guest: en_windows_8_enterprise_x64_dvd_917522.iso- this edition was able to display Unicode w/out any adjustments.. My Hosts OS that has a problem w/Unicode.. the ISO's filename specifies en_US: Windows_8.1_EN-US_x64.ISOi do remember seeing something about SingleLanguage when i was deciding which version to download.I chose the SingleLanguage thinking it would take less space..I believe SingleLanguage is only available for Consumers.. front360
I'm using Win8.1 upgraded from the Windows Store right now. I originally bought the Win8 Upgrade, when there was an awesome deal for under $20, I think if I remember correctly. So I guess they were probably single language. Hope this helps.
