Atreus
Apologies in advance if this is a silly question, but I skimmed back a few pages and saw nothing about it: The changelog for 4.0.468 mentions changes to the way the trial works. Do the current trial FiXs (eg mara's) still work on it, or is that version an attempt to stomp them out? I figure it's better to ask than to blindly upgrade here on my end. i used to keep up with every post in this thread, but after a whlie it was just too many to keep reading every dayThanks! I do not have the changelog but this is what everybody says about v.4.0.468.-------------------------------------------------------------This is all I found :-Due to a small fix required for the trial mechanism, these builds have version number 4.0.468.0. They are otherwise identical to the 4.0.467.0 release for licensed users.

*dcs18
Feedback would be much appreciated.Have just done installing this - was amused to see it using the ESET installation directory to reside itself. :DHowever, as expected it silently checked back on it's Slovakian server to validate my license which is still valid (thanks to NodLogin.) I'm keeping this one now in preference over NodLogin. Thanks to both of you, kotaxor & jofre. :)

majithia23
hello friends ,i hv been using the ESET AV 4.0.467 for some time now , after i updated it from the 4.0.437 ( which i was using for about 3 months ) . with the latest box mara fix .and it was running perfectly fine with regular updates , untill a few moments ago ,a balloon notification reported "virus signature update failed." although i was connected to the net at that time .on manually trying for the update , it is now asking for USERNAME AND PASSWORD , which it never did in the past 5 months !!!!wtf?now what to do ?next course of action , kindly advice guys >>>>thanks .. ( posted the same enquiry in software chat section also , as this thread relates to ESET fixes , so posted it here also !! )

ugatme
Hey guys, sometimes nodenabler inserts a trial username & password. Do the eset update servers see the av as a trial version and treat it as such or as retail the way it was originally installed? Not really concerned, just curious. Bizarre™
@ugatme:It may just be the case. When you use a license that starts with TRIAL the server sees the request as low priority. When you use a license that starts with EAV, the server sees the request as high priority.TRIAL licenses are just like box, mara- fix... it's just that the latter never expires :)
