geeteam
ZDNet Korea yesterday cited unidentified industry sources in a report that talked about LG's next-generation flagship Android smartphone, which might be called LG G3 (naturally coming as the successor to the excellent G2). The publication notes that the G3 is expected to be released in the second half of 2014. It should feature a 1440 x 2560 pixel Quad HD display of unknown size, alongside a 16MP rear camera and an octa-core processor developed by LG. Said processor is currently codenamed LG Odin. As we reported back in November, LG plans to use it not only for the G3, but also for new G Pad tablets. Earlier this year, LG signed an agreement with ARM to license its Cortex-A50 series processors (which, by the way, are 64-bit capable). So we assume that LG's own processor will benefit from this agreement. Since Samsung is seemingly preparing to launch its Galaxy S5 (which could sport a 5.25-inch QHD display) in early 2014, perhaps it would be wiser for LG to try and release the G3 in the first half of the year, too, and not in the second half. Rok
thanks, the phone is good as specs are concerned, but the difference in the screen size is very minor and it is slightly thicker than S3. And, of course missing microSD. I feel LG should place the microSD in the upcoming G3 (or whatever they name it).
