SlimRock
if it's about iTunes Purchased Music then there is no need to worry as Apple has already removed the DRM protection long ago from iTunes Music. :)If you want to remove/convert the iTunes ID & purchase info from your .m4a/AAC file then you can use dBpowerAMP Music Converter™ ( 'the standard' tool for audio conversions) & you are ready to go! :sBy Following below Steps U Can easily Remove ID Tags Just In single Step. If you have dBpoweramp Installed on your system then this ID Edit Context Menu entry is Preinstalled (OR you can manually configure it). 1. This Is A Tagged File. 2. Now Right Click On file And Select Edit ID Tag Option. 3. Select iTune ID And Press REMOVE Option In Red Stroke. iTunes ID Will Removed. Now Remove Any Tag Just Like That You Want. 4. After Removing The Tags Press OK 5. This Is Done. Now You Have Clean File. Share It AnyWhere Without Tension. Download Here : http://kickass.to/dbpoweramp-music-converter-r14-4-reference-ed-retail-chingliu-t7123228.html#mainNote: Avoid installing additional codec pack bundled with his package ! hakah
slimrock: Thanks for the download link of dBpoweramp music converter. I have download and install the software before and never succeed to install that program. It keeps on saying msvcr71.dll is missing but actually it does exist in the Program Files install directory folder. I don't know why it happens and cannot solve this problem. Can you advise how I can overcome this problem? I am still using Windows XP Pro Sp3.I don't know whether those m4a files are iTunes protected audio files or not as I just downloaded them from another Forum. How can I find it out? Thanks for the assistance!
SnakeMasteR
Move msvcr71.dll from Program Files into c:\windows\system32 and then it should work.
hakah
n0_risk!: Do you mean I move the .dll file to System 32 first before I start to run the program? I have tried to install the program and when it comes nearly to completion, error message appears with that .dll missing and the whole installation rolled back. Thanks for the assistance!IMO you didn't paid attention what I have mentioned in my post, well look here: Installation instructions:Run setup dMC-R14.4-Ref-Registered and follow simple on screen instructions.( No need of crack OR Serial, Its pre-registered)Plz avoid installation of dMC-ref-codec-pack-R4 Codec Pack, While installation of codec pack you will get possible .dll errors. There is no need to install the codec pack as all the required codec are pre installed with the Setup itself. Alternately you can install dBpoweramp-Batch-Ripper after installing dmc. audio codecs are not the latest version, so i recommend to skip the codec pack and visit http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codec-central.htm and install the ones you need! I don't know whether those m4a files are iTunes protected audio files or not as I just downloaded them from another Forum. How can I find it out? Thanks for the assistance! ->Open the .m4a File in iTunes -> Click on get info -> you will get all the Purchase info associated with the file There is no need to worry about as DRM protection is already removed by iTunes! You can also try this,(probably the best method) Using iTunes simply convert .m4a file to AAC track, all the info associated with the file will also be removed! EnjoY! :) Edited December 24, 2013 by slimrock
