Well, the fact that these downloads, that fails with latests versions (13 & 14), download fine with an old version of DG (like the V11 i was talking about) probably means that the problem comes from the app itself, not the servers.

I might be wrong, but it seems logical to me ?

seems this version also have problems with downloading the drivers, some drivers are downloaded , some not! I also tested the 11 version with FFF activation working with no problem, I dont know what is the problem in the newest releases of Driver Genius! I still a bug in the program or is problem with the medicine ?

The problem is with very poor support from the developer. He focuses too much on anti-piracy and not enough his mirror servers for driver downloads.

What can be downloaded and updated on a Monday will be not able to be downloaded on a Tuesday ever again. Drivers less than 1 year old.

It appears to me this developer runs mirror servers with a download quota or bandwidth limitation and as such once he reaches his max traffic downloads do not work.

This is why having more than 1 reliable tool is important and I recommend people test something else.

I will complete a side by side comparison of both products shortly.

To me also, backing up drivers doesn't make much sense. If you are using this tool you know how to update drivers manually and fix broken computers anyway...

One more time, i don't think it's caused by servers problems... else the files that don't download with last version would not download with an old one, but they do download with v10 or older.

this works but due to the owner of the server's (they have started limiting the downloads) so you have to be quick to get the updates when they come free (may be once a week)

Well i always use the search box...it's just that i was using a paf version of Driver Genius, replaced the App files with those of v14 and cracked ones and it didn't work ok on my win7 64bit.....thanks for your good words...

make sure you delete everything from the driver genius folder in program files (aka the old crack files make sure 0 items in there when you uninstall).

from my experience,i prefer DG over DM

@ to contribute this topic,

it is not about the drivers, you shoud know, that almost ALL of this kind of prgs are using a standard library of drivers, even then, they are using the stadart routine of windows to search for it. The second part is just to read the keys and combine it with drivers, this is very problematical especially with notebooks and individual setup. I do not recomend to use it, Dell, HP and sometime even ASUS have big trouble with it. In general just to read an OEM signature is not to have a proper driver.

Golden RULE, do not touch a running system :)
