Matsuda
It's that time of the cycle again, where Intel is sending a number of its CPUs off for retirement, and it's a long list. For starters, the biggest lineup of CPUs being EOL'd (End of Life) are part of the Pentium and Celeron series. These include the G860, G645, G645T, G550T, G555, G465, G630, G620, G622, G870, G860T, G640, G530T, G630T, G640T G550, G540T, G460, and finally, the G530. These were all Sandy Bridge parts built on the 32 nm lithography.Furthermore, Intel's Core i5-3350P is expected to pass away Q1 2014 along with the i3-3225 and i3-3210. The older Core i5-2390T, i3-2100, i3-2125, i3-2130, i3-2120T and i3-2102 passed in Q3-2013.Finishing off the list, the cave-time Atom D2500 has received its product discontinuance notice, though it won't be finished off until sometime in Q3-2014. The Atom D2550 has received a product support change notice, though we're not entirely sure what that means.Source
insanedown58
Ivy, Sandy, both of you did good but DEYYYMMM Haswell is cool. Run along now, join your old veteran friends and talk about how you whooped AMD's black and red ass back in the day.

VileTouch
meh, i still think sandybridge's i7 2600k is much better than ivy bridge one....haswell.. ehh... yeah, it's good but still waay out of reach in terms of cost. (not that the 2600k is cheap either!)
