1. UrlLink - Don't need an extension. Just select>right click>Open in New Tab. :)

2 & 3. Click&Clean and Clear Console - Again, don't need an extension for this. Either "Clear Browsing History" or "Private Browsing" or CCleaner. B)

4. Self-Destructing Cookies - Very Interesting. Gotta take a closer look at that one.

5. New Tab Plus - I use New Tab Tools. But looks like this one has more functionality. Nice.

6. Video Resumer - Not a huge YT viewer. On limited broadband, so ... :(

7. Reload Plus - A simple reload works fine for me, but extremely interesting to see what you can do with that simple task. :)

8. Stylish - Almost all Stylish (userstyle) scripts have Greasemonkey (userscripts) alternatives. That's what I use. Stylish is used to apply CSS to web pages altering only the look and feel. Greasemonkey uses Javascript to modify page content, thereby altering looks and adding functionality.

9. Fastest Search - Ctrl+F works just fine for me ATM. Maybe someday I'll be smart enough to install this and be able to comprehend all the functionalities LOL! :P

10. Google/Yandex Search Link Fix - C'est Magnifique. An absolute must for those who don't want Google to record every thing they click from their seach results

11. S3 Google Translator - Using gTranslate. Does a splendid job. Does not cover half the page with the translation. Comes in a small, handy box on Mouse-Over. For page translation, I use Wiktionary and Google Translate. :)

12. BluHell Firewall - The old favorites here. ABP, DNTme and Ghostery. All ad blockers turned off on nsane and a few other sites :D

13. X-Notifier - The best thing about coming home is not having to deal with Outlook anymore. Why would I want to bring work home? :P Also, not on FB, Twitter etc, so don't see an use for this ATM :)

P.S. - As of today, I have 33 enabled Add-Ons. With Australis, looks like I'll be needing to add a few more to the list LOL! :spank:

  • New Tab Tools | Way better than New Tab Plus as it's much lighter :)
  • Pocket | One of the best addons!
  • Prevent Tab Overflow

More than you'll know :D

The only ones from your list that I don't have are - Always Awesome Bar, Enhanced Steam, Pocket, Roboform Toolbar & Tab Scope. However, I think that I'll give that last one a go

For my screenshot needs, I use Awesome Screenshot Plus. And as for Quick Translate and Scriptish, I use like-for-like alternatives as I mentioned.

For all you who are using Firefox with 2,3 addons, why don't you switch to Chrome then?

I didn't want to be antagonistic, that's why I didn't post that, but yeah, why would anyone use Fx if not for the extensions? :o Chrome is said to be faster and IE respects your privacy these days. The single most important reason to use Fx is it's extreme configurability because of the developer support and without that, it doesn't make a whole lotta sense. :nono:

@ NSFfan, F3dup and a few others - You guys are sooo missing out! If you don't know where to start, just D/L and start using some of the addons mentioned by Zex and me. Maybe some mentioned in the OP. Once you get the feel of it, there's no turning back. Your addon list is gonna swell up to dozens within a year.

BTW, I LOL'ed at a couple of trolls posters who just dropped by to say that they didn't even use Fx. Why post in a Fx thread then? :dunno:

SacredCultivator

Here is the list of my top addons:

  • Scriptish | Way better than Greasemonkey as it's much lighter and has better performance :)

Hmm Scriptish's last version was released in June, and Nightlies I think latest is Nov 27th.

I used to use the Nightly builds but they stopped, I wasn't able to tell the difference really between that and GreaseMonkey in regards to performance. So unno how you'd judge that.

I also used to use FasterFox, but realized, you can just do those tweaks in about:config without having to install the Add-On.

@SacredCultivator

There is a slight difference in performance between them in favor of Scriptish as the developer also points out.

Haven't been using Greasemonkey since last year as it was bloated/buggy back then.

Yes, Scriptish is getting old, and there are a lot of bugs present. I'll try Greasemonkey again. ;)

I guess the emphasis is rightly on NEW add-ons, because the missing 'Speed Dial', 'Session Manager' and 'Tab Mix Plus' are Gold, Silver and Bronze on my list.

Of this new add-ons list: number 1, who cares. Number 4 is fine.

As for number 2 and 3, often there are more browsers to clean than just one. CCleaner is not impressive imo, never mind how many people use that. 'Glary Utilities' may become an option, and for now, in my humble opinion, 'Wise Care' takes the cake. It's fine for cleaning the system.

Other add-ons may be well worth a look, but I am in no hurry. Thanks!

How about Adblock Plus and LastPass? And maybe Xmarks Bookmarks.

A nice extension which I find particularly useful is 'append to clipboard', I especially find this extension useful for this forum to allow easy selection of links and downloading.
