Matsuda
The launch of Internet Explorer 11 as part of Windows 8.1 and more recently for Windows 7, brings new ways to speed up the overall web browser experience. One of them involves predicting which web site will be clicked on next by the user and pre-rendering that page ahead of time. In a new blog post, Microsoft goes over how this is accomplished with IE11. It states:The predictions are done using our understanding of browsing patterns, user browsing habits, and common cues in Web pages, like “next” links and pagination. Bing’s extensive knowledge of the Web and data mining help make these predictions laser sharp. If you have IE11 installed, you can check out a demo of how this page prediction method works with a new IE Test Drive website. It features images of European landmarks on each of its pages that have large file sizes that can take several seconds to load in other web browser. However, those same pages are rendered nearly instantly in IE11.Web site designers can also use a "prerender" tag in links on their pages so that when a IE11 user surfs to the site, the browser can begin to pre-render the page in the background so that it can load quicker when a person clicks on that link. Microsoft says this is accomplished without compromising battery life on a tablet or notebook PC.The blog also talks about IE11's support for the experimental SPDY/3 protocol, which is also designed to help with page loading times. The blog states, "SPDY/3 implements multiplexing of request / responses on a single connection. SPDY/3 improves page load time by removing the limitation on number of outstanding requests and by using a 'warm' connection for each parallel download."Source & Getting to the Content You Want, Faster in IE11 Edited December 5, 2013 by Matsuda

Djurba
I must admit that on my relatively old machine from 2008 , IE gives me fastest browsing experience . I tried at least 20 browsers , Mozzila , Chrome , Opera ,Maxton , Avant , Slim browser and many other Chrom Mozila moded browsers , and at the end IE is fastest for sure at least for me , plus it use less memory and cpu compare to others . What can I say , all of these years I thought as 90 % of others that IE is worst browser on planet, but now I am using it :D .

I'm thinking to replace my Opera 12 with it, since new Opera hasn't adopted all of the original features, and Firefox is also slow to implement those features. wkt37211
.Hmm my ie11 loves the message internet explorer is not responding.page failed to load ect.I'm with OrbingStorm, IE 10 never worked and IE 11 has failed with either version when I try to open IE it crashes immediately with a pop up window saying "IE Explorer has stopped working" with a close program tab. Unistall -- reinstall same thing. I think my problems started after SP1 but I'm not sure. Just don't have the time to do a clean Window 7 install. Unfortunatey, a couple of web sites I go to will only work with IE. Edited December 6, 2013 by wkt37211

While it has supported add-on/BHO creation longer than any other browser, development is possible only in C++/C#/VB.Net and so requires more knowledge and effort compared to say Javascript/XUL for Firefox. If you want add-ons you're better off with Firefox or even Chrome. Specifically what features are you looking for anyway? oliverjia
Same experience on my laptop bought in year 2010.Chrome used to be the fastest but now it's bloated and memory heavy.I must admit that on my relatively old machine from 2008 , IE gives me fastest browsing experience .
