Matsuda
The United Nations’ human rights committee passed a “right to privacy” resolution that was sponsored by Germany and Brazil in an unanimous vote. The new document protects the right to privacy against illegal surveillance even in the online world. The resolution was built by the two countries, with contributions from other nations, in the fallout of the NSA scandal, stating specifically that governments and companies who deal with surveillance or data interception “may violate or abuse human rights.”Despite the already-long history of the Internet, this is the first time that human rights in the online medium are mentioned, pointing out that these should prevail, everywhere. The resolution also mentions that surveillance can have a negative impact “in particular when carried out on a mass scale, may have on the exercise and enjoyment of human rights.”Fifty-five countries co-sponsored the resolution, including nations such as France, Russia and North Korea. While the document doesn’t make a direct reference to the United States, it’s obvious what triggered the new resolution. Furthermore, by not pointing the finger, the document has a wider reach, applying to all countries that may be involved in such activities. Another draft resolution that was approved was the “Protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms while countering terrorism.” Through this document, the General Assembly of the United Nations makes sure that human rights and fundamental freedoms are promoted and protected even while countering terrorism, referring to the “remotely piloted aircrafts,” AKA drones. The United Nations also took the time to approve a text titled “Safety of journalists and the issue of impunity.” It condemns all attacks and violence against journalists and media workers, including torture, extrajudicial killings, enforced disappearances and arbitrary detention, intimidation and harassment in both conflict and non-conflict situations. This is in response to the pressure put on the media to stop reporting on the NSA leaks.Source

Ambrocious
On the surface it's good news but make no mistake, the United Nations is responsible even more so than Obama for the state of the world. It has been the plans of men who are a part of the United Nations to execute this global agenda, firstly to destroy the economy and then the rest of the planet in order to bring about a New World Order. They believe that via endless wars, mass distress that comes from various places on the planet, and other catastrophes can be used as part of the takeover plan. They construct global crisis because they control the global communities, they then evaluate how we react, and then they finally respond. Most people don't know how this works but it's very clever, until you understand how they exploit this. The method of problem, reaction, solution which is known as a branch of the Hegelian dialectic is used to manipulate the populations of people. The U.N. Plans for a global collapse next in order to destroy the old world system in order to build the new world system that they want. The truth about the New World Order is that it's being seen less and less as though it were a conspiracy theory as we can all see more and more the architecture of enslavement has been constructed while we were not paying attention or aware. If they can distract us just a little while longer, their next plan is something BIG, and it will affect the entire planet in a way that could end the lives of millions and maybe billions of lives. I don't propose to know exactly what they have planned but I see the spying system and how well it works to find people and I understand why this is here. It is here for those of us that wake up and discover it, a database is being kept of known dissenters against the government, you could call it a hit list. In the future when the takeover is taking place, they will use small drones with face scanning technology to find individual people for the purpose of personal assassinations. The good news is that many top scientific minds are against the weaponizing of autonomous drones. More than 70% of scientists are against the arming of drones for the purpose of warfare, especially if they are autonomous which is a form of Artificial Intelligence (yikes...). Dr. Noel Sharkey is an Irish robotics scientist and he says that it will be hard for this robotics plan to take place because it is hard to find a man or a woman that is willing to create a form of A.I. that may eventually turn on you. It's common sense: don't be responsible for the possible deaths of many people because you trusted a drone to target the correct target. They both look like they are sleeping in this freeze frame lol. Edited November 28, 2013 by Ambrocious
SnakeMasteR
What a load of crap, the whole world has agendas and individual laws to protect privacy of their citizens, did it prevent hidden data collection and spy-attacks? No, they can approve what they want, there is no return from how the things work today. There is no privacy anymore.
Cypher3927
The United Nations is one of the most pathetic and useless organizations ever created and they have been accused of a lot themselves. Penn & Teller's Bullshit! actually had an episode entitled World Peace and they dedicated some time to the UN, good stuff. :s
