Condemnation of students who 'blacked up'

There's growing condemnation of some York University students who "blacked up" as the cast from the 'Cool Runnings' film, for a fancy dress party.

Other students at the campus have said their behaviour is "disgusting" and "deeply inappropriate" in 21st century Britain.

I think when a person dresses up in a costume party or any other themed party, you should expect all sorts of interesting costumes, including creative costumes like the Cool Runnings guys. What is happening here is CNN and MSNBC and even FOX news (sometimes) are dictating to their listeners what racism is, it includes a very long list of things that are not racists examples but I think they have an agenda. Divide and conquer. They want to accuse people of being racist or sexist constantly and after a while of being accused of something, a person will often times do what they are accused of. It's a weird psychological thing but it happens a lot amongst couples; the girl accuses the guy of cheating over a period of years and finally the guy gets sick of the accusations and cheats on her. Treat people like they are racist for long enough, hate them, disrespect them, call them liars and monsters repeatedly and mindlessly and watch as they eventually hate you for the multiple times that they were harassed by you.

Using racial slurs is racist but dressing up for some party, that's completely normal and I'm pretty sure most people already know that clearly.

Nothing wrong IMO. The world is full of up tight idiots who Im sure have enough real problems in their life but feel they need another so they make something outta nothing. The end of the video said something about the students learning a real life lesson :wtf: .

sometimes people just do silly and regrettable things... this seems hardly that it was done with malice as the intent... political correctness sometimes takes a backseat to common sense too. it is not like they wore KKK bed sheets or dressed up like a nazi and shouted anti semitic or other racist chants..or for that matter, knowingly did this as an intentional racist act...now in other news the students in USA that were going to hold a fun event on a university campus called "catch an illegal alien "at leasts had some sober second thoughts...but only after getting egg on their faces broadcast over the international news for a few days...before that sober second thought took place tho they were quit defiant and had planned to go ahead when it was just fellow students and local citizens that tried to tell them they were about to do something stupid
