yeah .. i blocked " IDMGrHlp.exe " from running. and so far .. working well. :)

They might be put some code on the latest build (7) to wipe patched exe :) but anyway no problem here so far with host method. ;)

solution--

1> just rename that IDMGrHlp.exe to IDMGrHlp_old .... prob solve but the pop-up of re-install idm will always comes whenever you start idm,

2> So corrupt that IDMGrHlp.exe file,,therz many way, simple one is just open it with notepad<drag & drop in notepad> delete some lines and save it as IDMGrHlp.exe & put it back in the idm folder....done no more pop-ups.

P.S- use any patch..every patch will work if follow the above step

And I have read all the posts above and decided to me a quick patch to IDMGrHlp.exe to solve this problem.

Here is my quick patch.

If this works, I will make an universal patch later.

Or, hopefully, any cracking team can include my patch method in their new patch.

i did the same but i didn't delete "idmgrhlp.exe"

i renamed it to the old name * IDMGrHlp_old * as Novemberra1n said

and i got the same error message only one time when i make restart for my laptop

I had the same problem as yours, but in my case, it was enough to enter a new serial number that the IDM is back to normal. ^_^

After some reversing, I seem to got it. This workaround is working for my buddy which had the nag, too but I cannot guarantee that it will work for you. Since it's gone for him, I cannot check it anymore.

It goes also much faster if you get the nag when executing the following batchfile instead of uninstalling the complete app:

Been using your patch for several hours, no nag did show up.

Great information..................... yeah.. i have installed the IDM from trial and i ever use the "AloneStar /Unreal RCE Upd#2" and it's working whitout problems.

I'm been to wait to next update for apply a newest patch......i thinks on next update my "FAKE" exe has been raplaced by original and at this point i come back and try to apply a new patch :)
