geeteam Posted November 16, 2013 Share Posted November 16, 2013 The device looks to be quite similar to the HTC One, but with a black case instead of the silver, but we didn't really know what to expect from the device specs until now. the potential leaked specs are pretty bare bones and don't really reveal anything we couldn't have guessed for ourselves. According to Evleaks, the HTC M8 will feature a 5-inch 1080p display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC, and be running Android 4.4 KitKat. The only real surprise there is KitKat, but the additions of Android 4.4 will be hidden a bit given the device will be skinned with Sense, which is rumored to be version 6 on the new device. Based on HTC's previous release schedule, we should be seeing the M8 hitting store shelves sometime in Q1 of 2014, which means the rumors should start picking up, and the information will paint a clearer picture of what to expect from HTC's next flagship smartphone. ffi Posted November 16, 2013 Share Posted November 16, 2013 (edited) Sense is a light skin, especially since 5 and even more since 5.5, more and more sense apps disappear and are replaced by stock apps. I am a bit disappointed by the specs only a snapdragon 800, that's this year's soc, not a next year soc (although it is very very powerful) (edit: okay qualcomm is not releasing new architecture, they are die shrinking for 2014) Edited November 16, 2013 by ffi Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
