rach
Microsoft has recently confirmed that Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 are not the only versions of its operating system affected by the newly found zero-day flaw, as users of Windows XP also seem to be exposed to incoming attacks. The company said in a statement that Office 2010 is only affected when running on Windows XP and Windows Server 2003, while all the other platforms are fully secure with this particular Office version.Office 2013 is not at all affected, regardless of the OS platform, Microsoft explained, while Office 2003 and Office 2007 are vulnerable on absolutely all operating systems.“Currently, we are only aware of targeted attacks against Office 2007 users,” Microsoft confirmed. “In those attacks, Windows XP was the operating system seen in use.”Microsoft has already released a Fix it solution for those who wish to tweak their computers in order to stay on the safe side, while a fully-working patch to address the vulnerability is expected in the coming weeks. :view: View: Original Article
smallhagrid
When I see the phrase:"Microsoft Confirms" - it brings to mind another phrase=>"trust microsoft".(Both phrases are maximum oxymorons.)((Most likely adolph hitler was ALOT more trustworthy than mikr0$0ft...but I cannot confirm that.)) Zigen
Another way to scare consumers off XP and force them to upgrade to win 7 or 8. Why not just advertise that if you use XP you will be abducted by Aliens?
