Call of Duty: Ghosts has been released today across PC, Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii U. And while the game isn’t getting fantastic reviews and has already been hacked, it’s certain to sell well regardless.

The game is also coming to PS4 and Xbox 360 later this month in 1080p and 720p respectively. Some gamers may be waiting for that or taking the cheap upgrade route from current gen consoles, but Nvidia has decided to remind us why you should really be playing Infinity Ward’s latest on a PC with a GeForce GTX graphics card.

As you can see from the screenshots included here, the game looks stunning at max settings. Nvidia claims this is down to a key number of features offered by using one of their latest GTX cards. Those features include HBAO+ for realistic ambient occlusion shadowing and shading, TXAA, which eliminates artifacts and moving anti-aliased lines, GPU accelerated animal fur to let you admire those dogs running around the battlefield, old favorite PhysX for realistic physics and dynamic effects, and last but not least, very high texture resolutions — the reason why Ghosts is a 50GB install on PC.

It’s true that Ghosts will look stunning on PS4 at 1080p, but that’s your limit. On PC, if you have the kit to handle it, then 4K gaming is possible and fully supported in this latest Call of Duty outing. If you don’t have the rig for it, then just admire the screenshots here and know that a couple of years from now, these visuals should be the norm for even mid range PCs.

for some torrent site

huge download for just a 4 hours single-player. I'm not even kidding, it's all over the internet. It takes a casual player only 4 hours

The captures are really good but today everybody judge a game by its graphics but what about the script? I can enjoy a good story besides the graphics of the game.

I haven't played this new COD game, but usually the game play in this series is dreadful.

I especially hate how limiting choices are on how you solve problems, and how you are consistently forced into narrow choke points where you will get blasted.
