An Eset Moderator said on ESET.com Forum about this matter :--» " Anything after the first three sets of numbers (7.0.302 in this case) is simply a regional localization suffix. In this case, it refers to different versions of the EULA for various regions.

So your version 7.0.302 is up to date, regardless of which numbers come after that. Thanks for the great question! "

thinking of going back to Eset.....Kaspersky 2014 is still buggy thanks for the update

K2013 is still good and stable, ESET this year is on protection spree - either malware samples were outdated or ESET is truly back.

Few changes in protection module in new K2014 is making it quite buggy, after few months K2014 will be rock solid.

Their main news is Anti-Blocker technology which can be easily described with picture below.

Also there are Automatic Exploit Prevention technology, ZETA Shield and Trusted Applications mode.

Sorry for offtopic.

Thing is none of these work on Servers. The business editions haven't been updated in a long time. Nor has the server editions. Dang.

ESET File Security replaced business edition for servers and can be activated via box-mara fix.

Anything after the first three sets of numbers (7.0.302 in this case) is simply a regional localization suffix.

In this case, it refers to diferent versions of the EULA for various regions. The only change in 7.0.302.26 compared to 7.0.302.0 is an updated EULA.

  • 1 month later...

Having some problems with this version blocking some sites and have not figured out how to exclude them. Exclusions in v6 were easy to set but I can't solve this on 7; even this site is blocked and I can't free it up without disabling. Any help on this is appreciated.
