CyberGhost VPN 5.0.9.8

When browsing the internet, it is all too easy to leave a trail of information behind you that can reveal your identity. Another problem arises when access to certain web sites or services is blocked because your computer’s IP address reveals which country you are located in.

With CyberGhost installed, all web traffic is routed through an anonymised web server – all you need to do to get started is to sign up for an account. After restarting your computer, you will be invited to connect to a VPN server before browsing the internet as normal.

While the idea behind CyberGhost is sound, in practice it can be frustrating to use, particularly in the case of the free version of the tool. Working in free mode, the tool only provides access to basic servers which can be slow, often have queues to connect to them, and are limited to anonymising for 3 hours at a time, with a limited number of VPN servers. If you are happy to pay for a premium account, faster, more powerful servers are available that should help to speed things up.

There is also potential for the program to block the ability to send or receive email, but providing you are able to enter your mail server details, this problem can be overcome. As well as providing anonymous internet access, CyberGhost can also ensure that your browsing history and cookies are automatically deleted, protecting your web browsing experience.

What's new in v5?

- Simplified and faster installation
- Completely new revised interface, which allows you to establish a connecction with just one click
- Anti-fingerprinting and content filter as your new browser protection
- Server / Country overview contains now more information and has a Search filter
- Map representation of the current and of the simulated location with intuitive animation
- Faster establishment of connection
- Improved support functions
- And much more!
