How i knew there was an update:

My PC suddenly dropped its res on windows login, i just thought it was having a bad day, and reset it......then when i tried to play a movie via MPC it gave me an error about DVXA not being available.....hmm knew the driver had become borked...but wasnt until i released it was because the Nvidia driver updater had failed (it was in auto mode, it certainly ISNT now!) and hosed the installed driver, of course with NO indication or error on the screen....hence reset res/no DXVA

Thanks Nvidia :)

I think that I will hold off on this release. According to alot people in nvidia forums and elsewhere these drivers are very buggy. My system kicks the dog shit outta any game Ive got. No need to risk that on the chance I might gain a few fps in one of them. Thanx for the update tho.

I know someone who has an older system running windows 7, they are back on 297 driver or somewhere around that number, if they update to anything after 300 (or when the new install screen(GUI) came out) his system graphics are screwd, the card he users is series 8.

I have no idea why all the latest Nvidia drivers are causing some bugs, i.e it makes Chromium to start very slowly and MPC Home Cinema does not like the newest drivers either.

In Chromium it causes Initialization time to jump over 6000, when using driver version 320.49 Initialization time stays below 300.

And then these latest drivers are causing some slow motion effect to Youtube videos.

Version 320.49 is the last version which works correctly on my laptop, kinda weird.

331.58 is the first driver after 314.22 that worked with my GTX 560 without crashing Win7 x64
