Microsoft released Windows 8.1 earlier today via the Windows Store, and even though the company has no plans to launch the new OS as a stand-alone ISO, it turns out that Redmond already updated the builds offered to developers via MSDN and TechNet.

While it’s not yet confirmed, it appears that Microsoft updated 32- and 64-bit ISOs to include the recently released updates, so developers who now download and install them are provided with the exact same version of the operating system as everybody else.

A hash check also confirms that the new ISOs are indeed slightly different from the previous ones, even though Microsoft is yet to publicly say anything about this change.

As far as Windows 8.1 is concerned, the update is still available for free from the Windows Store, while retail boxes are expected to be released tomorrow in several countries across the world.

And all will be available on nsane within hours, in fact some are available now

What's the different between MSDN build and the new update that released on Windows store ?

As far as anyone can tell at present the only difference is the newer one has an update included, which is available through WU anyway.

Well I just open MSDN and there's new update for the old Build on 17-9-2013.

Yes there is a newer MSDN iso which has an update incorporated, that is all as far as anyone can tell at present, which is available through WU anyway

(So older MSDN ISO + KB2894179+KB2883200+KB2894029 makes the newer ISO)
