Matsuda
Microsoft released Windows 8.1 earlier today via the Windows Store, and even though the company has no plans to launch the new OS as a stand-alone ISO, it turns out that Redmond already updated the builds offered to developers via MSDN and TechNet.While it’s not yet confirmed, it appears that Microsoft updated 32- and 64-bit ISOs to include the recently released updates, so developers who now download and install them are provided with the exact same version of the operating system as everybody else.A hash check also confirms that the new ISOs are indeed slightly different from the previous ones, even though Microsoft is yet to publicly say anything about this change. As far as Windows 8.1 is concerned, the update is still available for free from the Windows Store, while retail boxes are expected to be released tomorrow in several countries across the world.Source
