Matsuda
While several countries in Europe are working hard to censor websites accused of piracy, it's Italy that is the clear winner on this front. The country has been blocking BitTorrent and piracy sites for the past half a decade and it's not about to stop now.In fact, it's making sure it's staying ahead of the pack with a fresh batch of court-ordered blocks. ExtraTorrent is first on the list of new sites blocked. The increasingly popular site has been seeing quite a bit of interest from law enforcement recently. Not long ago, the London Police abusively stripped it of its domain, though it has since managed to get it back.1337x, another popular BitTorrent site was also blocked by the court along with H33T and TorrentHound. H33T has actually been missing for the past month, taken down by Universal Music. But it may be coming back up. If it does, it's not going to use the IP and domain mentioned in the Italian order. These are on top of the several BitTorrent sites that have already been blocked in Italy. TorrentFreak reports that some more IPs associated with The Pirate Bay were also on the block list.Source
