Matsuda
Update thought to fix exploits allowing players to farm XP/moneyRockstar has released Grand Theft Auto 5 patch 1.03, which weighs in at 39MB on PS3 and 59MB on Xbox 360.The studio has yet to provide official patch notes, but forum userssuggest the update has closed off some Grand Theft Auto Online exploits for farming XP/money and stopped players from repeating the same missions over and over again.Users suffering from missing GTA Online characters also report that this issue has yet to be fixed.Rockstar confirmed on Monday that it had received reports from players who experienced losing characters, progress, items, and/or in-game cash."We are working diligently to identify and correct the causes for these losses, as well as to establish how best to restore any lost progress and value," the studio said.On Tuesday, Rockstar advised players who've lost their online character not to attempt to create a new one in the empty slot where their avatar would normally appear. We said in our GTA Online appraisal: "With Rockstar planning frequent DLC and updates, and user-created missions on the way, GTA Online could have a long shelf life. The only let-downs at the moment are the lack of co-op heist missions, a slightly bloated interface, and some strange design decisions like being unable to tag stolen high-end cars and make them your personal vehicle. Otherwise, this is a supremely fun online toy box with a remarkable amount of variety in its missions - if you can connect, that is."Source Edited October 9, 2013 by Matsuda
