You can now take one of this fall's biggest titles out for a spin. The Battlefield 4 beta is now open to all, nearly a month before the graphically-impressive first person shooter's launch on October 29th. Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC users can download the demo now, which was released earlier this week for those who pre-ordered special editions of the title.

The multiplayer demo includes access to the same Siege of Shanghai map that we experienced at E3 earlier this year.

We found that some of EA's promises — primarily that "your actions physically change the battlefield in real-time" — under-delivered, but fans of earlier Battlefield titles will find little to complain about in the next-generation game.

Access to the demo ends on October 15th, a couple of weeks before the game's released on current-generation systems.

In the US, Battlefield 4 will launch on PlayStation 4 on November 12th and Xbox One on November 19th. If you can't wait, you'll be able to purchase a current-generation version and then pick up where you left off with a $10 upgrade fee.
