Matsuda Posted October 2, 2013 Share Posted October 2, 2013 There’s no doubt that Windows 7 remains the number one operating system in the world, but according to new statistics, the modern Windows 8 is slowly increasing its market share as well.Data provided by Valve’s gaming platform Steam reveals a 0.99 percent increase for the 64-bit version of Windows 8, which has now become the second top OS choice among gamers.At this point, Windows 8 64-bit has a Steam share of 15 percent, while the same version of Windows 7 continues to lead the charts with 51.41 percent.The 32-bit edition of Windows 8 is third with 12.83 percent, followed by Windows XP with 6.96 percent and Windows Vista 64-bit with 4.47 percent.
