Kaspersky Internet Security

Build 14.0.0.4651 (06/21/2013)

Kaspersky Internet Security provides comprehensive, all-in-one computer protection for home users against data threats.

MINIMUM HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS

To ensure the proper functioning of the application, your computer must meet the following requirements:

1. General requirements

· 480 MB free disk space on the hard drive (including 380 MB on the system drive)

· CD/DVD-ROM (for application installation from the distribution CD)

· Microsoft Internet Explorer 8.0 or later

· Microsoft Windows Installer 3.0 or later

· Microsoft .NET Framework 4

· Internet access, for activating the application and for updating databases and software modules

2. Operating systems

· For Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition (Service Pack 3 or later), Microsoft Windows XP Professional (Service Pack 3 or later), and Microsoft Windows XP Professional x64 Edition (Service Pack 2 or later):

· Intel Pentium 1 GHz 32-bit (x86) / 64-bit (x64) processor or better (or compatible equivalent)

· 512 MB free RAM

· For Microsoft Windows Vista Home Basic (Service Pack 1 or later), Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium (Service Pack 1 or later), Microsoft Windows Vista Business (Service Pack 1 or later), Microsoft Windows Vista Enterprise (Service Pack 1 or later), Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate (Service Pack 1 or later), Microsoft Windows 7 Starter, Microsoft Windows 7 Home Basic, Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium, Microsoft Windows 7 Professional, Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate, Microsoft Windows 8, Microsoft Windows 8 Pro, Microsoft Windows 8 Enterprise:

· Intel Pentium 1 GHz 32-bit (x86) / 64-bit (x64) processor or better (or compatible equivalent)

· 1 GB free RAM (for 32-bit operating systems), 2 GB free RAM (for 64-bit operating systems)

INSTALLATION

To install the application, run the setup file (file with the .exe extension) and follow the instructions of the Installation Wizard.

During installation, Kaspersky Internet Security detects and allows removing applications that, if used at the same time, may slow down your computer or even make it completely inoperable.

The application can be installed over the following Kaspersky Lab applications:

· Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011, 2012, or 2013

· Kaspersky Internet Security 2011, 2012, or 2013

WHAT'S NEW IN KASPERSKY INTERNET SECURITY

Kaspersky Internet Security provides the following new features:

· To increase security of applications, Trusted Applications mode has been added. When Trusted Applications mode is enabled, Kaspersky Internet Security allows starting only known and trusted applications and ensures that they are run safely. Trusted Applications mode will be available in September 2013, after an update to Kaspersky Internet Security.

· Protection against screen lockers has been added. You can unlock the screen by using a specified key shortcut. Protection against screen lockers detects and eliminates the threat. Screen lockers can now be automatically monitored and rolled back.

· On Windows 8, Kaspersky Internet Security can minimize activity when switched to Connected Standby mode. When running in limited activity mode, Kaspersky Internet Security pauses scan tasks and update tasks. When the computer returns from Connected Standby mode, all paused tasks are resumed automatically.

· The latest versions of popular web browsers are now supported: protection components (such as Kaspersky URL Advisor or Safe Money) support Mozilla Firefox 16.x, 17.x, 18.x, 19.x, 20.x, 21.x. and 22.x; Internet Explorer 8, 9, and 10; and Google Chrome 22.x, 23.x, 24.x, 25.x, 26.x, and 27.x.

· The option of participating in the Protect a Friend program has been added. You can now share a link to Kaspersky Internet Security with friends and receive bonus activation codes.

What's improved:

· The functionality of Safe Money has been improved. You can now select a web browser to open websites of banks or payment systems. A list of popular websites for financial operations has been added; when these websites are accessed, Safe Money is enabled automatically.

· The functionality of Parental Control has been improved: permissions to start games and applications can be flexibly configured. Age-appropriate presets have been added to Parental Control for restricting user activity.

· Configuration of Kaspersky Internet Security has been simplified. Now only frequently used application settings are available for configuration.

· Phishing protection is now more powerful: the Anti-Phishing component has been improved and updated.

· Protection components now use Kaspersky ZetaShield technology, which offers effective detection of exploits.

· Faster application performance and reduced computer resource use.

· Less time is required to start the application.

· GUI performance and responsiveness to user actions have been improved.

· Application reporting has been improved. Reports are now more intuitive and visual.

MAIN KNOWN ISSUES

· When installing the new version of Kaspersky Internet Security over a previous version of Kaspersky Internet Security or Kaspersky Anti-Virus (2012, 2013), the update source specified in the earlier version will be replaced with the default one (Kaspersky Lab update servers). The format of update databases has been changed. If you need to use a update source other than Kaspersky Lab update servers, make sure that the update format is compatible with the new version of Kaspersky Internet Security.

· Due to the new Web Anti-Virus settings format, installation of Kaspersky Internet Security over a previous version of Kaspersky Internet Security or Kaspersky Anti-Virus (2012, 2013) will replace the current Kaspersky URL Advisor settings and list of trusted URLs with the default ones.

· Some files in Quarantine may change their names after installation of Kaspersky Internet Security over a previous version of Kaspersky Anti-Virus or Kaspersky Internet Security (2012, 2013).

· In Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 under Windows XP, Kaspersky URL Advisor displays information about all links, regardless of its current settings. The error persists until the first restart of the computer after installation of Kaspersky Internet Security.

· File Anti-Virus may fail to process certain file formats. Information about processing errors is displayed in the report on File Anti-Virus operation.

· If the plug-ins of Kaspersky Internet Security have not been enabled at the first startup of Microsoft Internet Explorer after application installation, they can be enabled in the web browser settings only.

· At the first startup of Microsoft Internet Explorer after application installation, the web browser may prompt you to disable the Kaspersky Internet Security plug-ins.

· When creating a Rescue Disk, updating databases may take up to 30 minutes.

· Recording a Rescue Disk ISO image to a CD-RW may fail if the CD-RW is not blank. You should use a formatted CD-RW to ensure proper recording of ISO images for Rescue Disk.

· Application notifications and reports may show UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) time instead of the local time.

But are You sure, that you have not forgotten, that any of Kaspersky product, beginning from the 2012-th, can't be uninstalled without damaging Windows installation, (!). You can use it until it works, but You can't it test. Of course if You have full backup, it is very useful afte You uninstal Kaspersky.

Many have become angry with me when I warn. Later, however some say something other. Mostly asked, what now to do. How I can repair.

But why must You have it at all? You do not have the money somewhere to put or just all the time rumored that must be?

Permission for anything good for that money to your loved, it is thousands times better idea!
