smallhagrid Posted December 5, 2013 Share Posted December 5, 2013 Just a quick update from this happy IMAP user...Been using it for quite a long time now and email is just so much better than it used to be now that mine is all set up with IMAP.It really makes email shine over a broadband connection - instant delivery, direct access to folders on the email server - and even just using Thunderbird it is so good. (Anyone who is still using POP3 is really not having the best experience of email.)Most of the good/free email providers now offer it - gmail, yandex, gmx for example, all have it.It really impresses me when so easily I move an email from one server to a totally different server (or dedicated local storage) right within Tbird just by dragging and dropping; that is so very cool IMO.
