hi all,

i have a problem with webroot that is getting a tad frustrating for me....and wondering if anyone has a solution...

i have been installing secureanywhere on diff systems trying to get a new 6 month serial (some luck only with fresh install on to HD no image)

the problem im having is i can ONLY get a new 6 month trial serial, if i do a brand new fresh install of a operating system directly to a HD.

once i have installed webroot on the new os thats it, only one serial....now this is what i have tried.....

1. fresh os, direct to HD, webroot installed new 6 month serial...all ok

2. fresh os from acronis image, no webroot installed, when i install webroot i get same old six month serial (counting down 180 days)

3. fresh os from acronis image, change mac address, reinstall webroot, same old six month serial (counting down 180 days)

4. fresh os from acronis image, change IP address, reinstall webroot, same old six month serial (counting down 180 days)

5 i have also used shadow defender in shadow mode or normal, install webroot same old six month serial (counting down 180 days)

6. VMware, fresh os direct to vm hd, i get new serial, if i then restore the same vm drive (to pre webroot install and then reinsall webroot) i get same old six month serial (counting down 180 days)

how the hell does webroot defeat people wanting a new 6 month serial? (other than fresh install direct to hd i get new serial)

ok any help ideas would be great....thanks all.
