Gina Rinehart Calls For Sterilization of The Poor

Conservative billionaire Gina Rinehart called for the sterilization of the poor today, arguing that the only way to alleviate poverty is to stop the “underclasses” from multiplying.

In a video uploaded to her official YouTube account, the Australian mining heiress said that income inequality is caused by differences in intelligence, and eugenics is the only answer.

“Our nation faces a grave economic crisis as the combination of a strong Australian dollar and falling commodity prices sap our ability to compete globally,” she explained. “The only logical solution to this crisis is to strengthen the quality of our most precious resource: human capital.

"I believe that any couple making less than $100,000 a year should be forcibly sterilized through a vasectomy or fallopian tubal ligation. Those earning more than $100,000 a year should be encouraged to have as many as 10 or 12 children."

“Only by eliminating waste and focusing on our brightest, most efficient workers can we hope to see off our rivals in the emerging world.”

Rinehart is the richest person in Australia and ranks as one of the wealthiest women in the world. Most of her fortune comes from a mining company she inherited from her father and later built into a leading exporter of iron ore.

Her fortune prospered during Australia’s long commodity export boom, but is under threat as China’s economy slows and iron ore prices tumble. Adding to her woes is the rising cost of production.

Late last year, Rinehart made a video arguing that Australians needed to accept lower wages because people in Africa were willing to work for $2 a day. But in today’s video she seems to have realized that even that won’t be enough.

The poor and the one who with "low intelligence" has tendency making more offspring than the wealth and the "smart" one... I don't say that I agree with "sterilization of the poor", but the poor and the one with "low intelligence" should consider and realize to hold back, producing less offspring, and encourages the wealth and the "smart" one to make more offspring :D

It is one thing to tell the poor not to have more kids than they can afford (a legitimate issue), it is another to call for sterilizing them, while calling on the the wealthy to form an oligarchy, as if someone making more money = smarter people, and if I had her money and 12 kids, none would ever work anyway.

She wants to build an oligarchy (well, a bigger one than now). There are worse than her, and they are already in power. It is an unfortunate fact of life that scum rises to the top, you have to skim it off somehow. The law is supposed to do this but the law has been bought and sold. When the law fails, people go to revolutions, and we have had quite a few this decade already.

Yes we can't! Why would we kill the poor? I know some of my relatives are kinda poor and they get less than an million in one year,but it doesn't mean I want them to die or get in stralization just cause their financial wealth isn't good. We had somebody called 'Sanjay Gandhi' back in the seventies who tried it in India. Thankfully failed but not before performing forced vasectomies on hundreds of thousands of poor men.
