that's ok for living in a village with ~15'000 people. honestly, i had no idea what to do with a gbit fibre connection...

My second computer gave this (using driver from Windows 7 internal update) - horrific!

So I went to Realtek site and downloaded the latest Realtek PCIe GBE Family controller driver - got this!

Updating drivers can really make a difference it seems.

....In the past yr or so I have grown wise enough not to share any warez outside of Usenet, so my U/L speed, while being quite adequate, is irrelevant. My D/L speed is plenty fast!

asking megabits or megabytes? mb = megabit

Many more bits than bytes, but my TRUE download speed s ~5MB/s = 50mb/s
