manju Posted May 25, 2013 Share Posted May 25, 2013 i'm having some issues with the bat! config. i've config it according to a topic forum this forums, but i'm still getting a error ( IMAP - TLS handshake failure. The server host name ("imap.gmail.com") does not match the certificate). don't know qhat to do... searching didn't give much results\help... any ideas? i think that as something to some with the first sync from the bat! with Gmail... Internet Security v8... at least on the initial config, the bat said something about a ca root certificate not being on a list and i check the options available and that here refered to avast antispam... manju Posted May 26, 2013 Share Posted May 26, 2013 i'll trie that and provide feedback soon ;)Edit: tested on XP VM and no luck.. still swoing the same CA Root error... wich is strange considering that this VM as no AV installed and the popup error window says that the ceritificate belongs to avast mail (???) avmad Posted May 26, 2013 Share Posted May 26, 2013 Could the settings you've entered for the servers be incorrect? Imap, POP3, addresses for Gmail? Have you tried altering from STRTLLS to the other etc. (I forget the terms)Also enable your gmail account to work with it.That's what's caused problems for me before. Search the net and find correct config, or try POP3.When I used it with Avast I always had warnings (from Avast) because I ignored there component. TheBat worked fine though.
