AshTheGamer Posted March 10, 2009 Share Posted March 10, 2009 I think that there is value in the US patent program, but too often, comapanies like PalTalk interpret their patents as covering a much broader spectrum than they were intended. If you want to patent the telephone, because you invented it, fine, but claiming that your patent on interactive modem connections covers any kind of computer communication is a little bit broad.
