dcs18
I have ordered this one.Where should i connect the alligator clip while performing RAM upgrade? Fasten the crocodile jaws onto the metal chassis of the laptop (around the bay area) - ensure the metal beneath the wrist band is in close contact with your skin.Generally, I do not use a wrist strap with a laptop (have got a trick for that) - for me, ESD is an issue mainly with Towers. Ensure the laptop is turned off02.) Switch off the mains and unplug the adapter cord03.) Pull out the adapter plug from the laptop socket04.) Remove the battery from the laptop05.) Finally, keep the power button pressed down for at least a minuteStep # 05.) on a completely absent source of power is what gets rid of the ESD.
