No big deal; that's why God created PowerDVD. :)

I was hopping Microsoft would license a decoder for Blu-ray , from PowerDVD like they did with the Dvd decoder in Vista , but it seems that either Microsoft still isn't supporting Blu-ray, or they are just cheap bastards and won't pay a extra buck for the quality of PowerDVD's decoders.

Or maybe they don't want to be sued again for killing competition by bundling their os with fuzzy applications. Take the IE case for example and just imagine that WinDVD sues them...

Peace.

Default Microsoft codecs aren't the best anyway. They're not awful, but they're updated once in a blue moon and, in my own limited experience, have fewer features. I'd rather have a decent 3rd party decoder that I picked myself than a run-the-mill decoder that is included in the cost of my operating system, despite whether I choose to use it.
