Skype released their video messaging service for iOS, Android and Mac back in February, and now it's finally Microsoft's turn. Starting today, Windows Skype users will be able to send and receive short video messages from their contacts.

The new feature was expected and it is available for those that download the latest Skype beta version from the official website. Folks can record and send video up to three minutes long and they will be limited to 20 video messages until they'll be prompted to upgrade to Skype Premium.

The new feature is currently only available on Windows 7 and in the desktop version of Skype on Windows 8 but the team does note that video messaging will be hitting the Modern version of Skype shortly. This is only the latest update in the Skype ecosystem, coming on the same day that Microsoft announced the launch of Skype integration into Outlook.com.
