chrisTM
Hello.I'll be a guinea pig, but I'm ignorant of mediafire. Do I have to have an account? I tried the sharekey but get nowhere.chrisTM out.OK, guys. Here is the ultimate fix. This fix is created by box and me. It is called box, mara- fix. What will this fix do?- It will lock trial to 31 (it will convert from retail to trial if necessary);- It will enable Self-Defense automatically after using the fix (optional)- It will remove trial marks from Eset gui (optional, "Upgrade to full version..." from update section can not be removed)- It will automatically add user name and password "eset" on x64 systemsFew notes:- Self-Defense must be disabled before applying and can be re-enabled later.- First update must be done manually if you just converted to trial;- Trial marks removal works for all languages in 32-bit installers and only for English in 64-bit installer;- Fix is 2.77MB size, because of extra tools included for trial marks removal;- After enabling Self-Defense with this fix, immediate reboot is required - user will have 30 seconds to save all work (countdown to reboot is self-protected, if user tries to terminate it, computer will immediately reboot)- Same executable is used for unlocking registry and when unlocking, backup of Eset gui will be restored (trial marks will be restored)@shoughtThis fix is created so it can replace boxforever and mine fix with just this one, so users are not confused. I did a lot of testings and everything worked fine for me, but I would like if someone else could also do the testing before the fix is added to frontpage.Download:Hosting: mediafire.comSharekey: /?z0mnmmuzut3Archive is password protected. You can find password in WinRar comments. NOD32 detect this fix as a virus, as it do with most AutoIt stuffs. You can safely ignore it.Cheers :win:

RobrPatty
Installed your box, mara fix onto my 4.0.417x 64. Seems to have done everything it's suppose to. No traces of trial version accept in the update section as you specified. The u/p is installed.(eset) Self defense enabled automaticly after applying medicine. So everything is cool. Only thing I can't do is update defs. I already have the latest version. But everything is working like you said so I imagine I'll get my first manual update in the a.m.Nice medicine box, mara

chrisTM
Hello.Success with latest fix.Once again, the installation from the front page download was sketchy, at least on my end. The installer hung at the end and I had to hard boot. I was unable to find any errors in the installation, though. I waited until there was no activity before shutting down; this seemed to work. I'll keep monitoring for any unusual activity. Would you recommend to allow for automatic program updates or notify? Thanks again for the password.chrisTM out. Use WinRar. flcracker78
I'm not able to manually update, I'm not sure if I missed a step.I d/led from front page, disabled self-defense, ran box/mara- fix, rebooted, and tried to manually update,. I got an "incorrect username" message and it failed. This was for x64 Smart Security, btw.
Hoca
@mara- and boxThanks for this great new fix!Could you answer a few points please?1. Does this fix also work with ESET 3.x products? (how about including a compatibility list of ESET products in the About of your fix?)2. The fix states "This fix does not modifies any ESET file" Could you confirm that the removal of watermarks does NOT include any patching of ESET files?3. It seems to me that a downside of removing the watermark is it also removes one's assurance that the days are not counting down? Is there any way of checking that the trial is holding without the watermark? (sorry... I am a bit of a pessimist :s lol)4. Disregarding the trial watermark removal, does the method of defeating the trial differ in any way from that used in ESET4 Box4EVER v4.30A?Providing this fix does not patch ESET files (or at the very least it is optional i.e. by NOT ticking the remove watermarks feature) then this seems like a splendid fix!! :DI've just installed this fix on spare pc, I will let you know how it goes? Once again as with using ESET4 Box4EVER v4.30A on my main pc, it only took two attempts to achieve the first manual update! This fix as-per the latest box fixes unfortunately stops the sigs info from being shown from the tray-icon, no big deal, and besides which it seems @brianwarming is working on that problem anyhoo? :sneaky:Cheers, great work from the pair of you! Any chance of performing a hat-trick and including the option of installing brianwarmings addon util too? I am currently running ESET4 Box4EVER v4.30A & ESET Box4EVER Addon v1.02 on my main puter and both are performing well! :)
Hoca
@flcracker78Check the fix has applied eset/eset to the username/password fields? If it has already added them, then remove them both and try updating again?
flcracker78
@flcracker78Check the fix has applied eset/eset to the username/password fields? If it has already added them, then remove them both and try updating again? It did set the username as eset, but the p/w was something longer than 4 characters. I changed both to eset and still no go. I guess I'll uninstall and give it another shot, thanks for the suggestionEdit: Sorry, misread your post... I just tried removing the names and updating again but that didn't help either. ugatme
Hey guys, just to let you know, been using nodenabler 2.81 for several months now, in fact I've had the same u/p for a few weeks or more. Removed enabler and updated to v417 over v314 w/o a hitch. Reinstalled enabler before rebooting and all is well. Plan on trying out mara-box fix time allowing. Using XP pro SP2 x86. Rock Lee
Enabler doesnt work for me with this latest update. The last time Enabler wasupdated was back in September. I really wish they would update it, not reallya fan of nodlogin. :lol:I would like to say thanks to Box & Mara- for the fixes they provided. Even thoughI'm not a user, I see how people appreciate them. Glad you're helping the community ^_^► Rock Lee

flcracker78
All right false alarm... I didn't know I needed to enter a trial key first.I "unfixed" it, entered trial key, updated, then ran fix again. Again username was eset but p/w was something longer, but I think it's working. I'm no longer getting incorrect username errors, and the license expiration date disappeared. I think I'm in the clear, thanks again for the fix, much appreciated.
Hoca
@RobrPattyI am not saying you will have to remove the U/P, but I have picked up vibes in the forum that sometimes either seems to work? (i.e. having eset/eset or having no U/P set)As far as I am aware it is only x64 systems that are suffering from this problem. If it works for you at the moment, then leave it be until box/mara- advise otherwise? Hoca
@box / mara-If entering a trial-key makes x64 products update successfully, could it be that your fix is not actually converting x64s 100% to trial?Could it be that the username/password is incidental and something is being missed by your fix?Just a thought anyhoo :lol:Cheers

It is not marked as a virus.. so installs just fine. brianwarming
I have been playing with another addon; a background program (no icon) that relays the virus signature info to the genuine ESET tray icon. But I could only make it work on 32 bit Windows :lol:Could you PM me a copy of this? I'd like to see it ^_^I'll restart the project (only half-done). The tranfer stuff works but still need to figure out WHEN to update the genuine ESET tray icon text.
