uTorrent 3.3.1 Build 29579 Beta

Recommended Posts

uTorrent is an efficient and feature rich BitTorrent client for Windows sporting a very small footprint. It was designed to use as little cpu, memory and space as possible while offering all the functionality expected from advanced clients. With uTorrent, you can download files faster and contribute by sharing files and bandwidth. Additionally, uTorrent supports the Protocol Encryption joint specification (compatible with Azureus and above, BitComet 0.63 and above) and peer exchange.

Thanks to cybpsych and 7h3Pr3d47oR for the update.

Hey, thanks for the update (as always), but I would like to suggest adding to the changelog on the download page the "Known Issues" section, which is listed on the official site. The information specified there can be critical when updating for an old version (especially for those users who may have skipped a few versions and are updating from a "problematic" version, as specified below).

For now, I'll post it myself:

Known Issues:

- Please remove updates.dat and updates directory or uninstall and remove settings before installing 29525.

- Updating from build 29438 may cause the client to crash. Please uninstall 29438 and install this version.

- Adding a single-file magnet link with "Add Torrent" dialog turned off: file is placed in a subdirectory

- Sometimes a file is allocated for a file that is selected to not download

- Portable mode is still under development.
