Windows Firewall Control 3.9.1.4

Microsoft Windows have already built-in default, free and powerful firewalls, but unfortunately, they lack a simple interface to define own simple rules and can be difficult sometimes to configure them the right way. Windows Firewall Control is a nifty little application which extends the functionality of the Windows Firewall and provides quick access to the most frequent options of Windows Firewall. It runs in the system tray and allows user to control the native firewall easily without having to waste time by navigating to the specific part of the firewall. Windows Firewall Control offers four filtering modes which can be switched with just a mouse click. WFC is free to use, registered users will get the advantage of learning mode which provides notifications for outgoing blocked connections.

Improvement of activation scheme from build to build it is understood, but What about RAM usage? few times I installed diff. builds and observed (by System Explorer) around 120 MB usage.

In my opinion for such a tiny app it is excess figures, for example such“monster” as Comodo FW with hips the ram usage is around 65 mb.

.. is there a good version of WFC to say "this pretty much locks down (secures) my in/out-bound traffic" or

will it be evolving & become inmeshed in every particle of one's PC(??) :ablow:

Not sure if the keygen works, but I installed over a 'registered' version 3.9.1.2 and it remained registered.

File updated with same version number
Changes
- New: Added support for use FIPS compliant algorithms for encryption, hashing, and signing. In the previous versions, if the user enable the operating system to use only cryptographic algorithms that are FIPS 140 compliant, the program donesn't work.
- New: Added a default recommended rule for Windows Store to allow Modern UI applications to connect to the Internet in Windows 8.
- Fixed: Akamai block rule blocks Windows Update in some scenarios. Some IP ranges from the rule were removed to restore compatibility.
