ande
Very interesting... 17.1% Windows 8.Seems that many prefer good malware removal than online protection and heuristic detection. :tehe:Once I'm infected, and if MBR is intact, I don't need AV to remove my malware nor do I trust any AV then, format partition and restore image. What I need from AV is to stop me getting infected. If you are noob enough not to secure your data by making images and encrypting sensitive data, then you will need good malware removal software in order to get your data back and in process not to damage any data. spudboy
Always remember that data such as this is far from conclusive and is also highly inaccurate in more cases than not, simply becasue the statistics are only based upon people who actually TOOK the survey. It states in the original article that the results are from a mere 4,715 computer users from around the world. Not very accurate at all, unless there are only 4,715 computer users in the entire world. Another shining example of why I don't give much thought to statistics of any kind in general. dcs18
Just this one comparison itself makes it obvious that the survey is flawed - there more Users with XP than with Windows 8.

This is within survey report. There is aLOLtz of world left around the survey. More Win 8 users may completed the survey than XP users. I wouldn't be surprised even if win 8 took over win 7 (I really wish that).
