For example, let's build of Windows 8 RTM: 6.2.9200.16384.win8_rtm.120725-1247 (RTM Final, Sign-OFF).6.2 - kernel version;9200 - major build number;win8_rtm - code designation and extent of product development;120725-1247 - the date and time in the format YYMMDD-HHMM (year, month, day, hour, minute).From this we can conclude that the final RTM-build of Windows 8 was collected July 25, 2012 at 12 hours 47 minutes.
