Mr Orus
You continue to talk about Windows Blue, the project that would have at the moment in yards Microsoft and that should help to make more attractive Windows 8. Rather than a new operating system, according to rumors that have followed in recent weeks, "Blue" should present himself as a full-bodied update for Windows 8 and the bearer of a whole series of improvements. The idea of Microsoft might be to stimulate interest in Windows 8 release, almost every year, important updates that are much more of a traditional "Service Packs". Windows Blue that, according to sources close to the giant of Redmond, may be distributed in final version already in the course of the summer, it would be confirmation of the new setting.THE engineers at Microsoft have already put the version "milestone 1" of Windows Blue which, together with the upcoming "Milestone Preview" will serve as a springboard for the distribution, probably a release for public preview."Blue" should contain numerous improvements for what regards the integrated search tools (that will be the fruition of content stored locally or those published on the web): the development of such functionality would be engaged the team of search engine Bing. The super-update, moreover, should introduce a new version of the kernel of Windows 8 (NT kernel 6.3 ), a change that would further enhance the performance in the start-up phase, reduce employment in memory and lower energy consumption. With Windows Blue, moreover, the operating system Microsoft will become compatible with a wider range of mobile devices, for example those with screen 7 and 8 inches. Finally, from the application point of view, "Blue" could lead to debut Internet Explorer 11.Following the new Microsoft approach, which aims to create a strong ecosystem, "Blue" should land - almost at the same time - even on mobile devices to heart Windows Phone.published the 25 /02/2013 Posted

rudrax
If windows Blue shows some balls, then the new devices that comes with it, users will keep it and the win 8 users will reformat their machines with blue with Blue. But I doubt that win 7 users gonna switch to Blue that fast.

dcs18
There's one simple thing that I believe in - whenever a Service Pack or a new OS is released with whatever name, caste, creed, sex, gender, race, tribe, color - Blue, Green, Red, Violet . . . . . . . blah, blah & some more blah; I'm gonna be the first one to try it out over a protracted period of nothing less than 25 days without paying heed to Uber n00bs.If I had not believed in the above doctrine, I'd have denied myself the pleasurable computing ride that I continue to enjoy on my Windows 8. Ambrocious
I don't get it. Is Windows 8 becoming Windows Blue or is Windows Blue just another service pack? It sounds to me like they released Windows 8 just a little bit too soon and so they decided to use the core of Windows blue, along with many upgrades to make Windows 8 actually worth it. Hmm... Hmm...More like a service pack. Probably a paid one. I would have leaned more towards the paid update if the post-sale Windows 8 wouldn't have been so expensive. Ambrocious
If they start charging for service packs, this is going to get ugly...and stupid.

JessicaLeigh
So, am I reading the article right; that it's possible the W8 Final that ships AFTER the release of the WB/Service Pack will actually already have the WB kernel?
