How about you also include in download section Default installer(Without OpenCandy). Note: It takes some time for the developer to release this version.

Can not find the 3870-version on the official site, only the 3868-version!

Works great anyway!

yes, that's because the installers are hosted on the daily channel of cdburnerxp and you get build updates every single day there

I guess the devs don't wanna go through the trouble of always updating the installer in the download channel and will do so once more builds are released and they have a decent changelog other than one or two lines like they would if they kept making release statements each day

I think this is not the way to go. If its daily release then nsanedown would post this update everyday on the frontpage.

Also if its there doesn't mean its stable, I just want to download minimal version of the correspondence version released on his site.

And one more thing... Maybe it would be better if you add minimal alongside normal setup links as it helps the developer make this software better.

I can assure you it's very stable, for more confirmation have a look at this

First, we have it's main channel, the "download" channel that you visit to get setup

http://download.cdburnerxp.se/

As you can see both the OC setups are visible there alongside the portable ones, and that's all fine and dandy but when you click the download link to get the latest setup, you get the setup via the "ember" channel

https://ember.cdburnerxp.se/

The setups are located at the bottom YET the portable setup come from its "download" channel, so you get the stable setups from the "ember" channel and the portable ones from its "download" channel

Now, you mentioned you wanted the OC free version but in order to get to that version, you have to visit one more channel, the "daily" channel.

http://daily.cdburnerxp.se/

This is where the non OC setup (minimal) is hosted, along with the latest stable version and portable version...Now this channel pumps out builds every day BUT that doesn't mean they're unstable because then they would have a beta tag when you went to check the about screen.

So if the "daily" channel was for unstable releases that would've meant the non OC setups are also unstable.

As for the release frequency part, I agree with you, we won't make releases of this app every day when the daily channel releases a new setup but adding a normal setup link followed by non oc ones would serve no purpose as all the users would just download the non oc setup anyways because nobody wants 3rd party crap on their pcs

Nope that's not correct. Check this: http://www.cdburnerxp.se/downloads/releases/4.5/, it features all normal and minimal setup but not portable and its a bit outdated.

Yes I agree with you about download 3rd party crap, that's why I asked you for minimal setup, also it can't be completely stable if it a daily release as it means the specific feature has been recently added without much testing.

Also its pointless for developer to make this daily releases, but that's another story.

I don't get files from ember when downloading from the http://download.cdburnerxp.se ?

this is the link I get when I download the setup from their homepage, hence the ember part

http://cdburnerxp.se/downloadsetup.exebecomes this (for me anyways)https://ember.cdburnerxp.se/cdbxp_setup_4.5.1.3868.exe

Nope that's not correct. Check this: http://www.cdburnerxp.se/downloads/releases/4.5/, it features all normal and minimal setup but not portable and its a bit outdated.

But it is correct, as it stand that channel hasn't been update since last year and that makes it outdated whereas you get the latest minimal installers from the 'daily' channel which makes that the 'currently being used' one.

Actually it can and he does, just take a look at our changelog link, it points to the development page where if you take a look at the 'Development log' you'll notice he posts updates quite frequently, even by the day and all the things he fixes are reflected in the 3868 build.

So he makes a fix and then compiles that into the build and releases it, he just doesn't move it to the ember channel because it would be a pain to constantly announce updates.

It's like if the K-Lite dev would release an update every time a filter get's update...erm, actually he already does that (minus the one release build per updated filter part) :tehe:

I know why its different now. Tried without IDM and it was like you said. With IDM it downloads straight away with direct link.

Damn had to scroll to the bottom to see that Development log... :tehe:

So now I understand what you explained about its stability. ;)

Thanks for the understanding & explanation.
