Luckily there are services which offer DDoS protection, such as CloudFlare.CloudFlare's 'Under Attack' mode challenges visitors with a math problem before they are allowed to visit the site. This is not your usual 'human verification' though, it's just a simple Javascript snippet. "The challenge requires the visitor's browser to answer a math problem which takes a bit of time to compute. Once successfully answered, the browser can request a cookie and won't be challenged again."However OutFlare, a new piece of malware, contained code designed specifically to bypass CloudFlare's security.
