You can still get a Windows 8 Pro upgrade for $14.99 ... if you lie

Microsoft's Windows Upgrade Offer website is still allowing people to get a code that will let them download a copy of Windows 8 Pro for just $14.99 if they lie about certain things on the online form.

Thursday was supposed to be the last day that most people were able to buy a legitimate upgrade for their old Windows PC to Windows 8 on the cheap. However, it appears that Microsoft's Windows Upgrade Offer website is still sending out promotional codes that will let users get that same upgrade for a mere $14.99.

If you recall, that's the price that people paid for the upgrade if they bought a new Windows 7 PC between June 2nd, 2012 and January 31st, 2013. However, that website is still up and running and, if you just flat out lie and fill in the online forms to indicate that you bought a new Windows 7 PC in between those two dates, the web site will send you two emails that combined will give anyone a Windows 8 Pro upgrade for $14.99. This website is supposed to continue to offer this $14.99 discount until February 28th.

You mean lie? Utterly shocking. To lie to get a legal copy of Windows. <Snicker Snicker>. Huh, I wondered how I got Win8 Pro for $14.99.........

Thing is, majority of people don't want windows 8.

If they advertised that if you install windows 8, you will be prompted to browse windows updates and get the start button and menu etc.....

You can either install it or not install it.

Then I bet windows 8 will fly off the shelves.

This isn't a mistake on the accord of Microsoft. Ever hear of bait on a hook? There is a logical reason they have left it up there like that and it has to do with the great many vulnerablities Windows 8 has (backdoors directly into the C.I.A. and the F.B.I. for the reason of collecting data). Windows 8 is a fully compromised OS designed for maximum priavacy invasion by select individuals who have attained the power via Executive Order to legally (illegally really) spy on all Windows 8 users.

That was one reason to have kept open the links anyway.

Can you substantiate the highlighted statement? :footinmouth:

Edit:

You may consult Alex Jones, too.

I got a key. I really couldn't pass it up. I also got a disc for $15. Not bad for a legit backup disc. Hopefully in a few months they'll send out a service pack.

Really.... the lack of a start button is not that big a deal with Windows 8. I prefer Win 8 over 7 because of the feature start screen has all the info I need at a glance without having to open up 15 different programs.

Dual-booting Win7/8. Rarely have I gone back to Win7 other than to update. (I miss dreamscene sometimes, too.)

Alright, I get it, but is this just based upon their need to boost W8 sales percentages? And how will the release of Windows Blue fit into the equation -- or does/will it not at all? Omigosh, I'm sooooo confuzzled.....

Windows Blue is a rumor (point us to any Microsoft link, if you may) - whenever that rumor translates into truth, I'll be the first one to dump Windows 8 and shift loyalties to the new OS at any stage of development (any OS, for that matter.) :)

For $15 you can't really go wrong for a full functioning WIn 8 pro key. I'm going to upgrade to Win 8 and just add a 3rd party start button program.

Former Washing DC Raytheon associate who is also a College professor currently. In more or less words, he told me that windows 8 has direct backdoors built into the technology (hardware and software) that goes right into multiple databases for the F.B.I. and the C.I.A.

He got a bit skiddish when I asked for details and told me he would get those to me for a long time before I realized he wasn't ever going to show me. I must have scared him when I asked or something, suspecting a setup maybe. I trust him very well. Had two semesters of class with the guy, very good hearted man.

If CIA or FBI want access to someones computer they certainly dont need a backdoor. They have enough hired hackers and trojans to throw at you. B)

In others words, that means no proof to back up those empty words about that C.I.A & F.B.I nonsense.

I don't consider the words empty. I trust my source.

Where's the proof - it's only your words that we see and they're . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . empty - we don't bank on second-hand hearsay!!!
