Ever since the first version of Internet Explorer 10 got to see daylight, Microsoft continuously bragged about the browser, claiming that it’s the fastest app of its kind.

To prove everyone that IE10 is better than its rivals, Microsoft has now released the so-called “Penguin Mark,” a browser performance benchmark compatible with IE10, Firefox, Chrome, Safari and Opera.

All you need to do is to load this page in your browser and click the start button. The penguins will start singing “The Chipmunk Song” from Alvin and the Chipmunks, but it’s more important to note that the faster your browser, the higher the bottom Penguin Mark score goes.

“This experience brings together hardware-accelerated HTML5 capabilities like canvas, CSS3 animations and transitions, audio, WOFF, power and performance APIs, and more. Be sure to turn your volume up for maximum entertainment,” Rob Mauceri, Group Program Manager, Internet Explorer, said.

Firefox: 1-2

IE 10: 3100+

Seriously, anyone checked the frame rate? Who the fuck looks at things at 5000 FPS? In Firefox, which received 1-2 score, had 90FPS, more than what a human eye requires to see things smoothly, but somehow it looked jittery. It is made to look slow in other browsers.

Firefox: 1-2

IE 10: 3100+

I'm wondering why is MS making these 'benchmarks' always so obvious? :D

I mean, if they randomly generate a 3000+ result for IE, then a 2000ish result for non-IE browsers would be more convincing than 1-2 :D
